About The Role

We are seeking a Goods In Operative to work within the Goods In and Kanban Departments, Leeds.

The Goods In Operative will ensure be responsible for stock control duties within Goods In and the Kanban area.

Hours:   Monday - Thursday, 6am – 4pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support with deliveries, checking against delivery notes, reporting and proactively following up on any anomalies
  • Ensuring all stock is 100% checked on arrival against delivery notes, reporting anomalies with proactive follow-up
  • Take corrective actions for stock anomalies
  • Completing daily stock checks, collect data and investigate and report variances
  • Ensure the highest standard of 5s stock management and housekeeping through sophisticated kanban methods
  • Prepare spring pad and natural fillings requisitions
  • Data collection
  • Order stock line with demand and sales forecast
  • Attend and participate in year-end stock takes
  • Conduct intermittent quality inspections of incoming goods
  • Monitoring inter-co stock outs, investigate, report and identify countermeasures
  • Cage and stillage maintenance, wheels kept swarf free, faults reported immediately
  • Submit requisitions for the Kanban area in line with demand (ordering enough to prevent waiting times and overstocking)
  • Report ‘no-stock’ and shortages, ensuring production have sufficient stock
  • Year-end stock takes
  • Investigate, report and identify countermeasures
  • Liaise with suppliers and relevant departments

About You

Key Skills & Experience:

  • You will be a hands-on, and hard-working individual with a proactive attitude to daily activities, improvements, changes and problem solving
  • Ability to use computer programmes such as Outlook and Excel
  • Experience of using MRP system such as AX and D365
  • Analytical with a good understanding of using data and reporting tools
  • Stock control experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of problem-solving techniques
  • FLT licence desirable
