Apprentice Quality Engineer

At Harrison Spinks Products (HSP), we are looking for a motivated and hands-on Apprentice Quality Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality products across our manufacturing operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working closely with our Quality Manager and wider operations team.

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 39 hours.

This role is designed to give exposure across multiple areas of quality, testing, and reporting. You will support the team by:

• Assisting with routine product and process checks on the shopfloor
• Supporting incoming goods inspections and basic verification activities
• Helping with testing activities in the lab, including recording and organising results
• Preparing and maintaining quality reports and data dashboards
• Supporting meeting preparation (data collation and presentation)
• Helping to organise and maintain quality records and documentation
• Assisting with general quality tasks that ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• As you develop, you will gain more responsibility and exposure to wider quality and compliance activities.
• Training and development will be provided throughout the apprenticeship
• Future opportunities may be available for the right candidate

What we’re looking for

• We are looking for someone who is:
• Organised and detail-focused
• Willing to learn and take on new challenges
• Comfortable working both on the shopfloor and in an office environment
• Interested in how products are made and tested
• Confident using basic IT tools (Excel, Teams, etc.)
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• No prior experience is required, attitude and willingness to learn are key.
