About The Role

We are recruiting for a Machine Operative on the Nights shift within Beeston, Leeds.

Hours of Work: 4 nights Mon to Thurs ( two 12-hour shifts 6.00pm to 6.00am and two shifts 10.00pm to 6.00am total 40 hours )

Hourly Rate: £12.97

Weekly Shift Allowance: £56.16

The Machine Operative will produce the necessary spring sheets and Micro coil units for the next production stage as requested by the department Manager/production planner.

Key Responsibilities:

Follow daily production instructions and run the correct required springs.
Monitor raw materials and request as required from the department Manager.
Monitor quality of products; ensure all quality procedures are adhered to, feed back to the Manager.
Changing cloth and wire.
Complete Quality checks to agreed tolerances.
Monitor machine output.
General upkeep of the Coilers.
Checking wire and reject wire correctly.

About You

Skills & Experience required:

Machine operating or setting experience essential.
Self-motivated
The ability to stand, walk and move for up to 8 hours per day.
Team player.
Dexterity
Good communication and organizational skills
Attention to detail and the ability to think clearly and work under pressure.

The ideal candidate will have:

An enthusiastic and flexible approach to react on a day-to-day basis to all requests, both internal and external.
The ability to self-manage own time during the working day.
The ability to multi-task, work to deadlines and prioritise workload to meet production demands.
A willingness to learn.
